Martina Cinotti

In Martina Cinotti’s (Monza, 2000) artistic vision, there is no distinction between subject and background, or between human and landscape: the space of representation is always enriched by imaginative and brilliant ramifications, and the female body seems to emerge organically from within the canvas. After studying painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, the artist has explored the relationship between the individual and the environment in a sophisticated manner, using an oil painting technique characterized by glazing, layering, and fading that imbue the figures with an intimate coherence, thus giving the impression that each work is also a joyful ecosystem.

As *Il grembo I* demonstrates, the skin itself becomes the point of fusion with water, earth, and woods—the trace of an identity that has now become fluid and permeable. Above all, the womb represents an inevitable symbol of birth and change, an invitation to dwell in the world in a state of loving surrender, adopting a posture of listening rather than conquest.
