24° Premio Cairo

Space missions, speleological explorations, dystopian and post-apocalyptic narratives, speculative theories such as Flat Earthism or scientific theories such as Panspermia, and then plants, fossils, fungi, mycelia, spores, seeds. The research of Slovenian artist Natália Trejbalová (Košice, 1989), who has been living in Milan for years and studied at the Brera and Bologna Academies, develops at the intersection of art, science, and imagination to create evocative installations in which painting, drawing, video, and sculpture interact.

While airbrush drawings often take on environmental dimensions to become performance sets, sculptures made of glass, plaster, polystyrene, and organic materials such as clay, dried plants, and beeswax often serve as props for videos, where images are accompanied by narration, songs, or music produced by the artist in collaboration with other professionals.
